Macarenia
Mónica Naranjo Uribe
Place: Serranía La Macarena (Colombia)

About singular life forms that arise in isolated geographies and the interaction of the specific conditions that it harbors. The publication is specifically focused on one of the endemic species of the Serranía La Macarena (Colombia): Macarenia clavigera, an aquatic plant that grows on the oldest rock formation (on the surface) of South America. The narration is a poetic visual exploration based on the physical experience in the territory, together with a scientific documentation that makes the invisible visible, and the fiction or imagination triggered by what is still uncertain and unknown to science.
